We are living and sharing the same history nowadays: searching for meaning, saving our minds from not going crazy, and maybe we strive to find a purpose to make this world better.
Today I am not going to talk about the pandemic situation, but I will present 5 brave people who did not give up.
As this edition is about new perspectives, I'd like to send a message that no matter where you are right now, you can do something better! You can evolve, progress and become a better self. You just need a brave mentor for your brave objectives.
#3 of those 5 persons had a shared vision: find a better place where they can achieve their full potential, through technology, while they were working in a totally different area. I have to admit that some years ago (5-7) we would not talk about these roles and IT. World is changing, new perspectives appear and people are adaptive human beings, with all their fears, concerns, challenges and desires - they evolve! They went through a challenging career path, and managed to achieve their dream job: from UI developer to Software Testing Engineer. You are hearing about their success, I am going to reveal their struggles, their mindset and their moments of wanting to quit. Stay with us and you will discover their stories. The IT field is not just a fancy technological domain, it is a crossroad where people, leadership, technology are met and together they can create a better world, cause we all need this NOW.
Only those who will risk going too far can possible find out how far one can go." As a Scrum Master I had plenty of "opportunities" when the only way to solve a problem was to risk to step ahead. I am not talking about situations related to implementing Agile ceremonies or following organization's processes but working with people and achieve great results. Being passionate about PEOPLE, it was easy to decide that I want to work with them and be there for the team. In the position of a Scrum Master you are able to see all perspectives in the business - client's point of view, higher management's and the team's. It is pretty challenging to gather all the needs and expectations to build a common sense of what success does mean, still it is not impossible. Once you put passion in what you are doing, you can take the risk and believe that there are no impossible things, there are just different perspectives.
