Digital De-Weighting: Subtraction and Exaptation as the Real Engines of AI Innovation

Radu Orghidan - Co-founder - AI Strategy @ CoRAI Labs

Conference hall

13th November, 16:45-17:15

Our instinct in innovation is to add—more features, more tools, more complexity. Yet in the AI era, addition often kills impact. Real transformation starts with digital de-weighting: the deliberate removal of obsolete layers that slow learning and adaptation. In this talk, we explore how subtraction becomes a creative act and how exaptation—repurposing existing capabilities for new uses—drives the next wave of AI product design. We’ll contrast workflow-based and autonomous agent architectures and show two live examples of agent teams in action: one rethinking academic grading, another exploring AI-driven market analysis. Creation, it turns out, begins by letting go.
