George Călinescu has more than two decades of experience in banking and auditing. His tenure at BT began in 2013, and he is part of one of the youngest leadership teams in the Romanian banking sector. In addition to leading the finance team, his role extends to overseeing data and information management across the Banca Transilvania Financial Group. His management approach is to support the coordinated team to achieve excellence.


He holds a leadership position within ACCA, one of the largest organisations of chartered accountants in the world. In 2019 he was named the best Chief Financial Officer in Investor Relations (BVB and ARIR Gala).
